marc_ian Soaring theatrical catchy rock and pop tunes that are not boring and segue and evolve linearly from one to the next. If they sound this big with DIY production, imagine how insanely huge they’d sound with big time production. Sound in the neighborhoods of Bowie, Floyd, and Cardiacs. This whole record moves me and I can’t pick a favorite song.

Damian Farnes Absolutely stunning album- surely one of greatest debuts of all time? They manage to coerce more magic, creativity and glorious ear worms from a humble 12 track than most bands can do in multi million pound studios. A word of warning though- this crack is very moreish! This album has been on a constant loop since buying it! :-) Favorite track: Emily Said.

Eric Kearns I tell ya. It is chock full of more ideas than you can shake a stick at. Repeat play encouraged by an invisible force from some glorious forested snowy bloomy light otherworld. Sweeping undercurrents take you. Melody chimes and putters about and moves your body whilst the occasional thud on the back from big bangs and chords shocks you back to ground

about

Sorry To Disturb You is the debut racket from them ARMY of MOTHS.
Recorded in the corner of the room at the Moth Hovel.
(a room in which they also live their sheltered and simple lives).

While ARMY of MOTHS had pretty much no idea how to go about making this 'thing', they selfishly decided upon cobbling together the songs therein for their own misguided pleasure.
A futile attempt to drag them into the 21st century by using technology was suggested, in order to improve upon their primitive offerings...but was soon abandoned upon realising that none of them had a clue what they were doing.
So, what you find here is a collection of noises they recorded on to a 12 track recording box thing which they left lying around, like a stroppy teenager who refuses to tidy their room.
Only the considerable mastering skills of Mr Stevie Cossar the mastering man, were able to make this collection less unpleasant for YOU the listener.

Made with confusion, meant with love.

This scrap book of noises was written, recorded and mixed (if you can call it that) by ARMY of MOTHS.
No one had actually asked them to do this, nor did they choose to stop upon request from their friends and loved ones, when word got out that they were undertaking such a horrid endeavour.
But here it is, the 'thing' that you were warned about.

The lovely Stevie Cossar mastered it, with hands and a heart, while all covered in love and thunder.
No one is sure what 'mastering' actually is, but it is believed that everything sounded twice as bad before he touched it, therefore one must presume gratitude for his input.

The art work stuff is by ARMY of MOTHS and then lovely Nick Prol drew a thing in order to convey some sort of visual representation of the noises that your ears cling on to.
Rumour has it that Nick Prol grew wings after this ordeal, much to his surprise and certainly against his will.

That logo thing was designed by ARMY of MOTHS and then made alive by the fantastic Ian Tattersall.

It is inevitable that thanks must be given, and while no praise should realistically be given to ARMY of MOTHS for their selfish indulgences, it is best perhaps that the gratitude should instead be directed towards YOU, the humble and long suffering listener, for your assistance in putting up with their precocious insistence in making this 'thing'.

about

ARMY of MOTHS UK

A barrage of noises, all bundled together like a black plastic bag full of broken pop music, thrown in the boot of a Ford Cortina and driven into a river of psychedelia, only to resurface with a head full of punk angst....or something.
