about

By Word Of Moth is the second album by ARMY of MOTHS.
It was recorded at home on the dusty and trusty Zoom thing in 2019 and then we did some more in early 2020 before everything got strange.

A myriad of stuff and things that we hope to please your ears with.
An hour long collection of noises about this and that....but feel free to take your time with it, you'll only get told off for eating too many sweets before you have your dinner!

Written and recorded at home by ARMY of MOTHS on the 12 track thing in 2019 and early 2020.
These meagre noises were humbly offered to André Lund, who upon receipt of the racket herein, set about mixing and mastering them.
We would like to sincerely thank him for his encouragement, support and for being very patient with our ridiculous and often fanciful notions.

André Lund plays lead guitar on His Heaven & Falling Up, acoustic and additional guitars on Mathematics of Love, Judi and A Noise...

The piano on Moth Hymn was beautifully played by Chris Anderson.
We are both humbled and honoured that he did so.
Chris is a very beautiful human being.

Cover and booklet art by ARMY of MOTHS
Inside photograph is by the very wonderful Michael Prince, to whom we owe much gratitude.

A substantially warm and large amount of gratitude is extended to Tim Rogers for helping us put together the art things and thus reminding ourselves to perhaps learn how to do things first, before we go about making claims to know what we're doing...we don't.
Tim does though...and we thank him.

This racket is dedicated to Dr. Timothy Charles Smith.
He changed everything.

about

ARMY of MOTHS UK

A barrage of noises, all bundled together like a black plastic bag full of broken pop music, thrown in the boot of a Ford Cortina and driven into a river of psychedelia, only to resurface with a head full of punk angst....or something.
